I have a good start on my next chemo hat. I am only 1/2" away from beginning the decreases at the top. With this being my third one it is going much faster. I should hopefully have it finished tomorrow and have a start on the 4th and final one for now. Once I finish this pink one I need to get it and the purple one to their new owner. I hope that she likes them and they are comfortable for her.
I worry that they won't be as comfortable as I hope. I know that the yarn is soft and feels good to the touch, but that isn't the same as wearing it on the head. Especially if their wig has been irritating their head, I hope that they can wear these and they won't irritate it more.
Here is hoping.

Beginning of the Fair Isle Sweater
Here are the pictures of what I have done on the fair isle sweater that I am going to make for the fair isle class. My first class will be this Wednesday and I am so excited about learning how to do this and working on the sweater.
So far I really like the way that it is knitting up. The colorways are a navy blue and an off white. I think it will look really great when it it done. How long it will take depends on how difficult it is so there is no telling when it will be finished. I can say that the ribbing and the blue stripe didn't take much time at all to complete. I just hope that the rest of it goes as smooth.
Wish me luck. :)

Gloves
Here are a few recent pictures of my gloves. The first one is finished. The second one I have the pinky and am getting ready to set up the ring finger. They are coming along quite nice when I get the chance to work on them. Unfortunately they have been put on the back burner until I get some of my other WIPs finished.

Purple Chemo Cap
I finished my second Chemo cap this evening. It is made of Purple GGH ESPRIT. It is soooooo soft. I just want to cuddle it all night. It wasn't as hard to work with as I expected. That will be good news when I get to making the snow men since I am using the off white ESPRIT.
This hat, along with another that I still have to make, will be going to a friend of mine at church. Her little boy was born 2 weeks before James. I know that there really isn't much that I can do for her and I thought that these hats might help when it is cold this winter and when she might not want to wear her wig around the house. I really hope that she likes them.
Ok the camera turned the nice deep purple into blue. I guess it was the flash. Take my word for it, it is a nice shade of purple.

Rail Road Tracks
Ok so forget what I said about having a good start on the second leg of the cargo pants for James. I was looking at it and it had some serious rail road tracks running up it. I just don't get it. The other one doesn't have them and I am doing the same thing. Plus I would expect to get them in between each DP needle, but I am getting them after the first stitch on each needle. Needless to say the second leg has been frogged and I will be starting it over. So much for hoping to get them done any time soon.
I am guessing that it has something to do with the tension I am holding the yarn at, but I have never had it happen this bad. If anyone has any suggestions for correcting what I am doing wrong, please let me know. I really don't want the rail road track look on these pants.

Cargo Pants
I have the first leg finished and is sitting on stitch holders and I have a pretty good start on the second one. I am wanting to get these done so I can either give them to James for either Christmas or his Birthday. They are working up really cute and the color way is a nice neutral color. I think that they will be able to go with pretty much anything. I can't wait to see them on him and what they look like. They are really cute on the little boy on the pattern, so I am hoping for the same result.
I will keep you posted on the progress.
