Updates

Here are my 2 latest pictures of my Olympic Project. The 2nd one shows the FINISHED project!!!! I can't believe that I did it in 16 days. It came down to the wire, but it is done.

Now I can get busy on some other things, like my Sockapaloooza socks. I have a swatch that I am working on for them, so once I get that done I can start them. Yeah. So far the Lorna's Laces that I got are wonderful! It is sooo soft and is knitting up wonderfully. I think I have a new favorite yarn.

Saturday starts Lambikin's Semi-Annual Sale. I can't wait to see what all is on sale. Plus they have a surprise while the supplies last. Hummmm I wonder what it is???? Guess I will have to wait and see. If you are local come to the sale I am sure that there are going to be some great deals.

More Pictures for You

Yep you guessed it. More pictures of my Olympic Knitting. It is still going slowly. I am hoping that I will be able to get more time this weekend to work on it, but I am afraid that it is going to be incomplete. I am so close yet so far away.

I am currently on row 127, so I still have quite a long way to go. Better get back to work.

More Olympic Knitting Updates

Well it is going S-L-O-W-L-Y. I am not conceding defeat until the end. It doesn't look hopeful, but I am not giving up. I knew that I should have picked an easier project, but I wanted to challenge myself and I seem to be doing that well.

I am currently only on row 70 out of 192 rows! So I am not even half way through yet and we are already half way through the Olympics. I am hoping that once I get to the serious decreases that it will go much faster.

Tomorrow I will be going to my LYS for knit night,s o hopefully I will be able to get some more done. Wish me luck.

How are your Olympic Projects going?

Not Much to Report

Unfortunately I don't have too much to report. I am still working on my Olympic project. It is coming along very slowly.

I just haven't had much time to work on it since James is still cutting teeth, is having growing pains, had to have a shot last Thursday and had a reaction to it and seems to have some painful gas. Poor little guy is driving me crazy. I have done everything that I can for him, but it just isn't enough. So needless to say I haven't had much time to be working on it. I unfortunately don't see it in the future for me either. Tomorrow I have to take James to get 4 more shots :(. So this could be a very interesting weekend. Wish me luck.

I will leave you today with some pictures of my progress from the past few days.

Happy Valentines Day!!

First off I would like to say Happy Valentines Day to everyone!

Valentine from James

Isn't it a cute little bear? Knitted sweater and everything. It is so soft too! James got it for me. Speaking of James... he would like to wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day too.

Happy Valentines Day

He took time out of his busy day of play to take this picture just for you all. :)

Here is the small amount of progress that I have made on my Knitting Olympic project. It is slowly, but surely taking shape. I of course would like to accomplish more today.

Olympic Progress

Last but not least is the yarn for my Sockapaloooza socks. It is Lorna's Laces Mt. Creek. It is such a nice rich colorway. I have never used LL before, but I have heard nothing but great things about it. When I was winding it last night it was so soft in my hands. I can't wait to get busy on knitting them. Unfortunately they will have to wait until after the Olympics, but I am planning on starting them as soon as I can.

Knitting Olympics CO to Day 3

I CO for my Knitting Olympic project on Friday night at my LYS's KO party. We all had a really good time and there was much food to be enjoyed. I didn't get home until 12:30 am. I was able to get a little bit done.

Opening Ceremonies

As for Saturday. It wasn't quite as promising. I just couldn't get into my groove and things didn't want to work for me no matter what I tried. I hope that this isn't a sign of things to come.

Today I was able to get a little more done. I am still not convinced that I will be able to get this done by the end of the Olympics. I am planning on going to Knit Night Monday evening in hopes to get more done than when I am at home. I can't wait to get more of it knit so that I can see the pattern begin to emerge. Maybe that will give me the inspiration that I need. I can't wait to see how Sara is doing on her fitted jacket. Will you be there tomorrow night Sara???

Day #3

I have updated my other blog A Mother's Love with James' 1 year check-up stats and such. Go check it out.

Got a Card Today!!

I received a really cool card today from my secret pal. It is made form the dense foam that you can get at the craft store. It had a nice long letter in it that I really enjoyed reading as well.

THANKS SP!!!! I REALLY LIKE IT!!!

Fair Isle Progress

Here is a recent picture of the progress that I have made on James' fair isle sweater.

The pattern wants you to do the body completely in the round then steek it for the sleeves. I don't know about you, but cutting my knitting scares me. So I went the safe route and have split it. I will do the front and back upper chest/neck separately then will add the sleeves in. I know that many people steek their sweaters and such, but I am still scared of it. I could just see something horrible happening to it.

I am now working on the upper chest fair isle on my first side. I still have it to finish, the second side and both sleeves. So I still have a way to go before I can call it finished. At least there is some progress on it.

Ester Williams

I finally have a picture of my finished Ester Williams hat. I had lost my card reader and once I did find it, I had misplaced my hat. I really don't think it wanted it's picture taken.

I really like it. It turned out really well and was quite fun to knit. If I ever get a chance I would like to make some more of them. Guess I need to decide what colors that I would like and get the yarn to keep in my stash so that I can make them when I get the chance.

What do you think?

Another Year Older

Yep I am officially old today. I am now the big 3 - 0 today. Not only am I 30, but James is 13 months today as well. I can't believe that it has been 30 years for me, but I am really amazed that James is 13 months already.

I don't feel any different today than any other day. I have heard about all the people that have a hard time turning 30. Maybe I just don't think about it. I am blessed to have a beautiful baby boy, a loving husband, a roof over my head and everything that I need. I guess I have never really cared about my age. As long as I have the things that I need, my health and people that love me then why should I care how old I am?.

I hope everyone is having a lovely day.
